Your clipboard stays yours.

What Copyccino keeps

Copyccino records what you copy on your Mac, text, links, pictures and references to files, so you can find and paste it again. It keeps this history, your pinboards and your settings in your own user folder (Library › Application Support › Copyccino and the app's preferences). Original files stay where they are; Copyccino keeps only their location.

What we collect

Nothing. Copyccino does not send your clipboard, your history or anything about how you use it to the developer or to anyone else. It has no analytics, advertising or tracking, and no account.

What stays out

• Copies that password managers and other apps mark as concealed or temporary are never recorded.
• Copies that look like passwords are left out while that setting is on, as it is at first.
• Apps you exclude in Settings are not recorded, and you can pause recording at any time.

Text in pictures

To let you search screenshots and other pictures, Copyccino reads the text in them with your Mac's own text recognition. This happens on your Mac.

iCloud sync

If you turn on iCloud sync, Copyccino keeps your history and pinboards in your own iCloud account so your Macs share them. Apple stores that data under its own privacy policy; the developer cannot see it. Pictures are only synced if you also choose to sync screenshots. Sync is off until you turn it on.

Link previews

Link previews are off until you turn them on. When they are on, Copyccino loads a link's page to show its picture and title, which the website can see like any other visit.

Accessibility access

With your permission, Copyccino uses macOS Accessibility only to press ⌘V in the app you were using when you paste a clip.
